Mary Kay gives Coastal Bend awards
— The Coastal Bend sales team of independent Mary Kay beauty products held its annual awards banquet at the Corpus Christi Country Club July 14.
The banquet is what sales director Irene Ramirez called the group’s equivalent of the Academy Awards. They had about 40 sales consultants, each on one of two teams, either senior sales director Billie’s Childers’ Believers Divas or Ramirez’s Dazzling Divas.
The event is a one-yearly chance to honor the women, Ramirez said. Awards for things like rookie of the year, top sales, top recruiter and most improved are awarded, she said.
The crowd was entertained by a local duo, dancers performing to Lady Gaga songs, organizers said.
