Brainshark recently launched an Android app designed to provide an improved interactive experience for users when they view video presentations on Android devices. The new Brainshark App delivers superior browsing and viewing experience on Android phones and tablets and it is available as a free download in Google’s Android Market.
Brainshark App allows users to easily navigate Brainshark online presentations, view presentation attributes, and also download related attachments. The app makes it easy for users to share presentations with a single click via email or social applications, and access a history of recently viewed presentations. By logging on their Brainshark enterprise or myBrainshark account, users can access company and personal content.
Additionally, the app allows access to a library of free eLearning content from Brainshark’s community of experts. The library offers more than 1,000 titles on a wide variety of business topics, including sales and marketing, social media, etc.
Gartner predicts that Android will become the most popular OS for smartphones globally by the end of 2011, and will take 49.2% market share in the following year. “For many companies today, the need to communicate with mobile audiences is a given – but getting recipients to actually access content can be another story,” Bill Pray, research director for content and collaboration, Gartner, Inc. said in a statement.
“In order to be truly effective, content must not only be engaging, but easy to find, view and share on smartphones and tablets. Making content easily available on the variety of popular mobile operating systems is important – enabling users to conveniently consume presentations and other business content,” Mr. Pray added.
Brainshark presentations are optimized for iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch), BlackBerry, HP webOS, Windows Phone 7 and Android-based devices. The company said that Brainshark enterprise customers and free myBrainshark.com users will be able to make their presentations available on Android-based devices and other mobile platforms at no cost.
